Re: 2010 Alto engine

Didn't think it was much taller than the F8C, and then it was all the plastics on top that you'd customize anyhow?

If no luck, try the Head Exchange, Stirling St, Perth WA.
I think I saw one up there.

Re: 2010 Alto engine

If I remember the measurements came up as a few mm within, but you would still need to allow for vibration, which it would not.
Needs as much modification as the G13B. So it IS doable, just not yet worth doing.

I looked at it, but have lined up a G10A instead.

In chatting with the boss I did suggest he should look at selling completed products online/ebay as well, to improve his reach nationally and more.

Bonus! Quality shop..

So I picked up a $500 SF Swift with the 1L engine a couple of weeks ago to act as a 2nd car/runabout to get me to the train station daily as I dont want to leave the MB there. Had a coolant leak from the intake manifold that turned out to be the spout had corroded away more than 50%. Tried to find t...

Re: Sound deadening roof

When I got mine it was half worn away. It's messy as all hell to remove, I recommend covering everything, and wearing a sandblasting suit! Makes cleaning up after real easy. Replaced with a single sheet of Dynamat, squared in the middle of the roof. Then fitted Dynaliner to the whole roof. Intended ...

Re: Using SF Swift components

Huzzah! Picked up a '90 GA Swift SF310 today. Will serve as my train station runabout for now, so the wife can have her sleep-in and car as well! It's in poor condition, think the lower ball joints and TREs are buggered, and there is a nasty oil leak somewhere. Its the tin-top engine, 5speed and has...

Re: Using SF Swift components

Hi Paul, Yeah, there are/were some photos in your thread, but I think they only showed the strut. I'm hoping the SF knuckle bolts up at least as easy as the SA/Matiz ones do to the MB strut. I realise the inner CVs are different, so just looking at having the SF outer CVs fitted onto the MB shafts (...

Using SF Swift components

So I am needing to get the CVs and brakes overhauled on the MB, but deadline = 0.5 x time available. As result will likely be paying for the work to be done. buut, I am loath to pay just as much for stock aftermarket parts, when near enough to the same dollars could get a slight upgrade - even if ju...

Re: MIghty Boy Registration Patition to lower cost

Just got my WA rego...
Insurance/Fee class 02, Class A.
Standard rate $391.90 for 12 months.

Don't think it is any different to commercial, but commercial is what it was complianced as when I re-did the rego.

Re: Adjustable Bucket Seats

I got some Autotechnica ones, and they fitted up quite easy, and do slide, push forward a bit.

Agreed with the comments about the padding, but mine is only for occasional use, so still like new.

Probably a wrecker. When I tried to look at the page, nothing on their site was working.
