Re: F10A to K10A Suzuki Super Carry

I pulled the bottom end apart and found the big ends starting to wear into the copper and the mains were near new, found a rego from a car ad and rang suzuki, got big end bearings and a set of rings on there way from Japan. $440 incl, a bit expensive but I had a hard time finding any aftermarket opt...

Re: F10A to K10A Suzuki Super Carry

I've pulled my engine down and am doing a refresh on it as it burnt some intake valves (which I found out is common).

Where can I buy Rings and bearings from? I've got a gasket set for it.

Re: coolant problems in suzuki carry

Whats the symptoms? I've never had a manifold off carry but it is possible. A lot cheaper to pull the manifold off and check b4 diving into a headgasket.

Re: Just purchased holden scurry/carry

If you really want easy power put a rotor in it. The next option would be a g series engine (turbo). Also a worked f6a engine is an option as the japan market like to get power out of these engines. There is a lot of work involved unless your going carbie. Engine mounts, fuel pump/lines, wiring, coo...

Re: carry exhaust? just thinking

You'll gain more power by having a single exhaust as the gases will flow together and make more backpressure. As for size I'd go 1/2 to 1/34 inch, much more and your going to lose power. Run 1 muffler and a resonator if you wanted. I was running a 2 inch on my carbed engine and it spat flames and ba...

Have you lubricated the cam lobe for the points and adjusted your points?

Try turn your dizzy once you've tighten the nut. It could need a spacer (bolt may be bottoming out).

I can't see where the nipple is but either to that vacuum diaphragm on the left or to the distributors vacuum advance diaphragm. I can have a look tonight if you circle the nipple.

Re: K10AT swap??

Don't bother with the K10a. Go LARGER.

- It's rare
- Parts are hard to source
- No one has information on it
- It's not very powerful
- The turbos extremely small
- It's on constant boost

The good:

- It's economical
- You can fit a Blow off valve

Youtube the k10a. See how slow it is.

:-o I hope you made a typo and mean't to drill out the intake manifold. Throwing fuel at the turbo will probably just create anti-lag  :-o

It'l do 40km/h to 110 easy. I leave it in 5th up 80km hills.

I'm thinking about upgrading the turbo.

Re: Super Carry Project.. Step 1: Lowering!

Installing the magnetic pick up and tone wheel on your crank pulley eliminates the points. It becomes the electronic distributor signal. It then sends a signal to the ECU and the ecu sends a signal to the coil then the spark goes through the dizzy cap to the spark plug.Total contact point eliminatio...
