Re: New Alto Engine 1.0

We have an alto come in through work from time to time. I've only had a cursory glance at the physical size of the engine, but it's quite a bit smaller than the current swift engine. Even though the M10 is supposedly a "new" engine, it looks eerily similar to the G10... Best of all, it'll ...

Re: Hubs and brakes

Throwing the GTi hubs into the mix adds a few problems with steering geometry. It can be solved, but it just turns a 2 hour job into a 10 hour one.

I've added a MSD 6A to one of my earlier cars, still retained the points though. In this, the points don't have to handle the current that they normally would, so they last a helluva lot longer. The 6A gives you a much better spark, ended issues with plugs oiling & rich-fouling. Considered mucki...

Huh I what? :P Just try to get a replacement. Much cheaper option. THEN if you don't have any luck, I'll ask around & see how much moolah a resleeved block & a rebuild set is going to set you back. Might be the better option to build it, as you'll get a good base to start from & not be g...

The response curve on the F5a is a little more aggressive from memory, may cause engine pinging under load depending on temperature, fuel type etc. F5a uses Denso 33100-78319 dizzy (or model 029100-6750). F8b uses Denso 33100-78410 dizzy (or model 029100-7270). Sorry for the late reply, don't get mu...

Anyone seen this MB?

Anyone know of it's whereabouts? Just wondering what happened to my old MB after the guy I sold it to sold it on.

Last seen in Stockland Kotara, in Newcastle.

I've got a pair of Hancook 155R12C light truck tyres i'd like to get rid of. 8 months old & 95+% tread, we've just scrapped the car they came off so no longer need them. Surely someone somewhere wants to keep stock 12" wheels? They were $90-something each plus fitting when we got them, open...
