Re: A Mighty Proposal?
Cheers fellas, it was quite an epic... mentally it took me a good few days to get over the whole caper! Wouldn't mind picking up a MB for the missus somewhere down the line! Though I'm not sure how receptive the rest of her family would take that one... Been getting the whole "That tiny car's d...

A Mighty Proposal?
Well! That was quite an eventful maiden voyage! Thankfully not of Titanic proportions. After having got my RWC two days prior - you would think that the car would have been road-worthy... It wasn't. The journey from Devonport to Glaziers Bay (home) is 334 kms pretty much all on the highway and if yo...

It's been a big push over this last 10 days to get it ready but it seems that the hard work and time has paid off. Now I got me...

Re: Mikes Mighty Boy
Well guys - the time has come for just that - The RWC. If you've read the thread then you will probably understand why this is a big deal. This car was off the road, barely running and ran like shit when it did. A paddock-bashed-paddock-basher that I've spent about 12 months of free time over the la...

Re: Wanted MB Canopy and wheel arch moulds
Got a canopy in Tassie, might be convinced to part with it as I'm not sure I like it. Is postage over Bass Strait going to cost a fortune though?.....

Re: Removing side windows
Hey Matt,
The black outer piece of rubbery plastic - you pull upwards to remove.
The silvery felted piece on the inside - you pull towards where the black window seal sat.
I got some spares if you bust 'em dude

Re: Mikes Mighty Boy
I'd be surprised if anything made of rubber was in great condition after sitting in a paddock for two decades. Even the window rubber was fine Brayden, in comparison that Swift that I wrecked - you could break it into bits with your fingers... All that said - 'great condition' is maybe a slight ove...

Re: Mikes Mighty Boy
The rear axle is about 14cm too wide, so you'd have fun trying to fit it under the rear of an MB! ... Point taken... Could be cool though... Jokes! Lol, looks like I'll be building that trailer after all! :D Like I said, the only section of my MB not in need of any attention was the rear axle, all ...

Re: Mikes Mighty Boy
Quick update - Scored a pair of MK3 Swift GTI rear disc hubs. Great condition - from a vehicle that was wrecked for the engine. Came complete with some brake cables + a prop valve which may or may not get used. I'm really looking forward to this one. compressed7.jpg The only part (or cluster of part...

Re: G10 Engine Swap Compendium (What you may get yourself in
Just a suggestion, but given that there's already a build thread for your ute it might be less confusing to keep all the progress and conversion info in that thread. When you're done we can combine it with the info from Paul's build thread to create an article for the workshop section of the websit...
