EOI - 1988 Mighty Boy EFI F8B (needs work)
Well, after a long time of having the little fella I'm afraid I might be letting it go :(. Money dried up so he sat there after experiencing some problems. I haven't got the cash or the time to fix him up. He isn't going at the moment and not sure why. Pretty sure it is electrical. Basically, he has...

Or I'll swap your troublesome EFI gear (+ cash) for a working F8B carby and distributor. Haha, don't tempt me in going back to carby!!! I did have a 30DIC Weber on it before the EFI. I just think it would be a pain mucking around with the fuel lines and all the other stuff to downgrade. The o...

I don't either, but I have seen the spark when I have grounded it on the distributor and also when the timing light flashed. I'm going to give him to my ex (we bought it t...

The ems dualsport is usually a fairly reliable ecu i have owned 3 in the past. if you are still using a distributor setup with 3 trigger pulses you should not need the sync signal. the sync is only for sequencing multi coils and sequential injection or when there is more trigger teeth than cylinder...

Ended up getting a new pickup from a Charade dizzy my old man found at the wreckers. Looks pretty much identical. Wired that pickup in to the broken one so now I just have to put that back in my dizzy and hope it fixes the problem!!! If it does I only have to worry about the battery, pits and regist...

Thought I would post up a fairly informative response I got from the AEM Forum. _____________________________________________________________ Check your grounds. They can read ok with a meter but when the starter draw pulls on it it can lose its connection. Adding a second ground to the engine and o...

Yeah, an EMS. Interesting thought. In the software the trigger sensor is set to mag and the sync sensor set to mag too, not hall. I think I remember the mechanic saying the set up would work better with a hall pick up or something. It has ran for a while with those settings without too much trouble ...
