Thanks guys. I picked up my Radiator from the guy. called over to a radiator supply and repair place who wanted to look at my old one. he said its not to bad only 3 tubes are blocked not 60% So I'm not sure what this other guy was on about. So I left it with him and if no good he'll order in a Mini ...

Ok I have chased around and found a part number in the Fuel miser brand MS504 I hope this is it. Does this look familiar to anyone as it states a few different other cars as well. Thank you and you are right Baryden its around $75

Hey Guys / Girls Just wondering if anybody has overhauled there carby on their 800cc motor? I priced up a kit from Repco / Scotts. They said if available it would cost $165. Hey did you find out what the matter was??? how this happened... interesting. My only thought was maybe the bypass hose under the thermostat got mixed up with the fuel line??? have you got fuel in the water???

Wow this was a while ago, Well the Mighty boy still lives. Just in the past few months I Have rebuilt the motor. We don't fund raise for Child flight any more as the Government didn't give the contract to Child flight and they had to fold... very sad. So now we fund raise for Care west at Orange NSW...

Fuel pump F8b same as F5a?????

Hi Fellow Mb people
Quick question. Is the F8b 800cc motor fuel pump the same as the F5a 550cc motor the same. I have a F8b in my Mighty boy and needs replacing but only can find listings local for the 550 one. Thank you any help :) Cris

This is the gasket , you can see the Oil feed hole is about 60% covered , this is with the gasket pushed over to expose the hole just the movement on the locating lugs on the block. this out pushing the gasket the oil feed hole is at least 80% covered. I have the other gasket on order

My vrs kit is DM910 Pro-torque brand, the spare parts guy looked up again & said their is another DM911 for a later f8b post 8/85. Has anybody come across this or is there a difference in the 2 f8b head gaskets. And is there a diferance in the F5a and the F8b head gaskets. Any help appreciated

Head gasket question

Hi all. I've just had my cylinder head fully serviced off my Mb (f8b motor) as had a very fine leak. I purchased a VRS kit and ready to start putting it together I checked the Oil feed hole for the cylinder head from the block and noticed the hole will be 80% covered by the metal ring in the gasket....
