Re: WTB; MB Headlights.

If you are interested in LED inserts, I have a friend on Facebook who sells from a quality oriented factory in China. They make multiple size headlamp inserts with drivers (electronic module) in round & rectangular as well as remote controlled RGB light bars that function as normal white driving...

Re: MB windscreen & rubber wanted - Melb.

If you don't find a windscreen rubber in good order, the likes of Clark Rubber will have a section that is a good substitute. I don't know what is available down there as far as windscreens go, second hand can be fine but if I find myself needing one, I'll be looking to Protector Glass for their tri...

Re: Steering wobble / death wobble?

Check your tyres for deformation or imbalance. shake can also be from worn out shock/strut, brake drum/rotor warpage but the wheel situation is more likely.

Re: MB Door Glass Weather Strips

The proper name for them is 'belt mold', it took me 5 years to find one for my MB as they are not easy to remove without breaking them. I had found 3 years back that they were still avail from dealers but didn't proceed as they were quoted at $85 ea plus tax & freight - likely to have been $130....

Re: pick a color

The yellow on the later Swift stands out very well & it makes graphics appear to float in some cases - the Swift I've seen with graphics does belong to a paint & panel shop so they may have added extra clear coats or some other trick to get the paint looking really deep.

Re: G10a engine transplant under way!!!

New hope has come over the horizon for my getting any MB back in service. Last week I had a new 2.5 inch exhaust built on my Jackaroo - the supplier/fitter had acquired a parts donor for his MB & offered me the remains... just happens to have bits I need for 'the redone' but seeing the shell is ...

Go talk to W.W. Shockabsorbers out at Geebung http://www.wwshockabsorbers.com/ They can rebuild yours or find a suitable strut insert.

Re: semi sealed headlight conversion

They look the goods. I've done the crystal insert conversion on my MB along with +50 bulbs & they came out giving a hugely satisfying improvement in light quality/brightness & spread. My MB is an 86 rectangular headlight model, the retaining rings were tight on the insert but still came off ...

Re: WTB Left side MB bonnet Hinge

I ended up having to rebuild my bonnet hinge after the end bolted to the body inside the guard rusted away. If you do not find another hinge or have the ability to rebuild yours, I may be able to do a rebuild for you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gztmxlckj3ri5c5/20130124_143505-1.jpg?dl=0 https://www.d...

Re: Honda Z

I've found the Zots interesting since my Grandfather had a couple back in the 1970's. The TN360/TN7 is another - Dad had one until my younger brother rolled it. It was an incredible little truck, 2 cyl horizontally opposed 357cc with a 4 speed box. Barely did 100Km/h, headwind would almost stop it d...

Re: Look at this ute...

I think it looks more Renault than VW. Some cleverly blacked out sections or graphics would improve the visual amenity, otherwise Brayden has a point. I don't find any recent offerings here in Oz visually appealing - some of the sneak peaks of next years models are looking better though.

Re: small dual cab ute

There used to be a custom crew cab on the Sunshine Coast built up from 2 early Carry style utes - the cabs were siamesed & the wheelbase extended I would think the later style carry would be easier to bring to a factory look & a more practical size.
