Yeah, agreed. the current intercooler sits pretty much around the intake pipework so the easiest way would be to change the intake pipework for a more direct route which then allows for a bigger top mount.

I think its likely easier to just go front mount from the outset though

The pickup is tiny, so I removed the inlet which was only a short distance from the airbox entry...  pic here, its tiiiiiiiny:




So, I think based on your advice I'll keep the airbox but just widen the entry point?

None at all other than the rear hatch at the very top, the hinges.
I had that sorted when the paintwork was done. But nothing else, seems its pretty solid for its miles. Underside is clean too.

Ok, a few pics. Car overall is decent but it needs paintwork along the roof lines for some reason. It may be that it used to have stickers along the lines as its only really there... annoying. However, mechanically its pretty good :) I only have one key so I'll need to try and source a replacement. ...
