Mate, thats a ripoff! If you have the knowhow or want to learn, dont do it. I went to u-pull-it and ripped a head off a 800cc motor. Cost me 200 for that and a full gasket set from sprint autos. Still, if you dont like that idea shop around you could get the work done cheaper. Also, you will need to...

Is it an f10a?
Are you intent on doing an engine swap, or can it be re-built?
If you are doing a swap then details please!

Cheers,
Sam.

sorry what I meant to say was...

Yeh, It's a cool van!
I wouldn't worry too much about a rebuild, wait till it dies good and proper!

THEN put a G13B in it

Ive got Mech Eng exams dotted over the next two weeks, so progress will be non-existent (if I wasn't going slow enough!). Still, I've ordered a flywheel, tailshaft, starter, and dipstick for the engine. With those parts I have everything I need to get the motor running and connected to the drivetrai...

The more the better! Correct Plug Code for ...

Agreed. If the oil filter has the same internal thread, and the correct diameter to seal to the block you wont have any problems.

In regards to the jacking height... not really, I pulled the motor out the side of the van with my trolley jack 3/4 extended. If you have access to them try ramps.

The way I got mine out was a little ghetto as I was by myself, but I'll mention it anyway. You don't have to drop the gearbox but I wanted to inspect it ...
