I would like to do one now :)

For a suzi Id consider a g10 with boost for under 2lt racing but for the street
Id rather a subaru mira or sherpa so I could put use a subaru flat ea81T, supra box (with hilux short extension housing) and quick change rear end.

Is it a shortened mazda diff or a carry diff?

I would recommend a subary flat four itll fit easier, less work, more economical, less noise and also very lightweight compared to the rotary.
