Generally, there are 2 types of rad cap, for older cars. One just vents out to the street, the other type, to an overflow bottle. The second type is a different design, that allows coolant past the rubber seal when you turn off the engine. The first style does not. From memory, the 'small' cap is #5...

Hatch/MB brake master cyl.
Does anybody know the part number for the overhaul kit of the SS40v brake master cylinder? Complete unit is $350 up. After disassembly, all looks good inside, just the rubber seals are worn. There are 5 rubber seals in the kit, (plus a dust boot cover, on the end) Whole unit is #JB1694. Have contact...

Yep. 'Pinging' is the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder, exploding before the spark has fired. Also called, 'knocking' 'dieselling' 'detonation'. If this is your prob, try driving up a hill, foot flat to the floor, you'll hear the noise. :D Usually a timing issue. Or compression too high, for fuel oc...

LOL. I had a rubber 'foot' of a toaster stuck in there for a while. Was lucky I found the guy at Suzuki who knew what I was talking about, and remembered the part. Stuck the pics up for everyone else to see the part number.

'82 hatch SS40 wiper arms, wanted.
Hey all, does anyone have any spare wiper (driver) arms?? You know the ones under the windscreen cowl?? I have the wiper motor, the wipers and blades, but, the driver arms with the white plastic/teflon knuckle joints on the ends, are broken or missing. Mr Suzuki says they are sold as a complete item...
