My current setup.. Sonar 175/50R14 About 80-90 bucks a corner. Same exact tread patten as my last set of 13" Nankangs. Grip like shit.. Except for aquaplaning in the wet @ 110kph... But that could just be excessive speed in a very light car. http://www.tamon.org/gallery/d/14894-3/WP_00039...

Re: is this a fair price to get the boy painted?
I just got my landcruiser resprayed for about $5500 cash... Mine is Metallic grey so i think i got a good price. That includes a bit of rust repair, collision damage and various dents from shopping centre carparks. I should think it shouldnt cost much more than that, depending on how much damage the...

Standard TB is about 50mm... I been looking around for a while to see what will work, XF i think is 54mm and should go ok... I also been looking at TB's off CA18's, 4AG's, etc... There is an autospeed article on TB sizes i found once. *Googles* http://autospeed.com/cms/title_Throttle-Body-Bargains/A...

Re: Billies New Boy
Nah... Its interesting more than scary.. lol
I only had once that i was slightly scared... On the bruce at mango hill in the pissing rain the boy decided it didnt want to stay in 1 lane.
But this was with the old tyres that were not that healthy.

Re: Billies New Boy
Those tyres are great, i'm on my second set... They were Nankang's tread pattern but have been re-named Sonar. I had a set on my 13's and now i have a set on my 14's, no complaints at all, you get plenty of aquaplaning at 110+ in heavy rain but thats to be expected in a car that weighs less than 500...

Re: wiring and fuses getting hot.. electrical help
Check headlight globe wattage... if its too high it may be causing a problem.
60/55's should be whats in there.
Hope this helps and i'm not rambling for no reason.

Re: Steve's F6A...
Looks like Adaptronic gets the win, good to hear all the good reviews. I may aswell stick with my GT20 for now, making another turbo manifold isnt a big problem, TIG welding is easy. Gearbox has me a little worried but i do have access to CAD software and a Milling machine these days so straight cut...
