Be VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL... Not all electric windows work the same but some drive off of a gear mechanism and also have a large spring on them. when you remove the motor from the scissor lift mechanism that lifts your window up and down, you will release tension in the spring. if you aren't holdin...

power window stopped working
The drivers side power window in my 91 Alto Works RSR has suddenly stopped working. The motor still runs, but the thing the motor joins onto just spins, without lifting the window. Any ideas on how to fix this? My previous car (lancer gsr) had a similar problem - it turned out the cable had frayed a...

Re: Alto Works or F5A turbo performance stats?
Nah I was talking about when people put an F5A turbo from an alto works into a mightboy.Brayden wrote: 19kw vs 47kw... I think there's a parity issue there.
I forget that mightboys have an F5A engine as stock (non turbo carby, that must be slow!).

Alto Works or F5A turbo performance stats?
Something I get asked quite a bit, but never have an answer for... How fast are these little Alto's with the 550cc twin cam turbo engine (F5A) or the F6A 660cc twin cam turbo? 0-100 times? 1/4 mile times? Im talking about these in stock form, and if possible in either FWD or 4WD. I guess an F5A migh...

My latest alto - 91 RSR (4wd turbo)
I brought this home a couple of weeks ago after spending a fair bit of time and money on it getting it running. It hadnt been started for 2 years so it took a bit of work to get it running. Once we got it running though, runs quite nice! The sound of the pod filter is amazing! Has electric windows, ...

Your best bet is to try and find an Alto Works RSX front cut - with the F5A DOHC Turbo 550cc engine. I'd suggest an F6A DOHC 660cc, the extra 110cc makes a difference! they have the same power output (restricted), but more torque I assume? Probably a much better base for more power too if you do so...

Look for Suzuki Alto Works RSX (fwd) or RSR (4wd) front cuts. Adelaide Jap dont have any at the moment, but they do have a slightly bigger Suzuki engine (K10A) - migth have issues fitting this though. Your best bet is to try and find an Alto Works RSX front cut - with the F5A DOHC Turbo 550cc engine.

at that price, thats a pretty good buy. Theres a few parts on it that I actually need, but being in Adelaide it would cost too much to bring the whole thing (and now that the reserve has been met I guess you cant sell a few things from it individually. Has it got compliance approval or is it purely ...

WTB: Various 88-91 Alto bits
Just after a few things for a 91 Alto RSR (I think some of these parts could come off a regular alto): 91 Alto RSR (CP21-S): - interior roof lining - right rear brake light lens - rear spoiler (preferably in black) - rear brake led in spoiler (it goes across the top) - battery clamp - right hand sid...

ok just a quick update. I have purchased the car and have brought it home. At this stage I will not be parting it out - it seems to nice to scrap for parts! So I am going to try and get it complianced and registered and will see where we go from there. Thanks for your interest, and if I do decide I ...
