"This generation of the Alto/Fronte still remains in production in India and Pakistan (till this year). While the Indian Maruti 800 version utilizes a 796 cc MPFI F8B engine, the Pakistani Suzuki Mehran still uses the 1980s era carburated version

Re: Throttle body injection
This topic is of interest to me so will throw my 2 cents in .I have looked at a few options for EFI and Carb's >the SOHC (F6) set up is easy but the the porting is as small as :!: so if you intend to turbo it IMO forget it ;the port size is to small (although many people do use this, you may as well...

Re: SA Strut thrust bearing

Re: need a little help
Sounds like you want to tune it yourself? if this is so you will need to fit an EGT (exhaust gas temp) sensor and have a good rpm meter .Road tuning is possible BUT you need to have some idea of what you are doing (NO I'm not saying you don't) and it requires two people and lots of time. I would sug...

Re: Auto gear box rebuild? is it worth it?
YUP bit tricky if you aren't going to do the work yourself then you are approaching the stage of spend or let it go.......not really advice I can give as it comes down to can you afford to spend this on a vehicle of this age (see RED BOOK for value :!: ) and the rest of the vehicle is still aging bu...

Re: need help have no spark
Well you've got it going but just a few words of caution (Don't want to P on the parade )be careful playing with fuel mix (to lean on boost will burn a hole through the piston quick smart -one reason most people switch to e.f.i when they turbo as carbys usually just have a form of power valve to sup...

Re: need help have no spark
Don't know what the trigger angle should be. But just change the setting (its in the software and can be changed easily -forward and back- and easily put back) this will get it going (if you are sure the other setting's are correct! -you know home signal etc...).Then its a simple matter to adjust it...

Re: need help have no spark
UUmmm posted a pic of this somewhere on the forum but I thought you said you have spark :NFI: and if this is the case then as in the 1st post " with the plugs out of the engine and cranking can you get a spark? (put the plugs in if yes) have you tried altering trigger angle to get motor to fire...

Re: need help have no spark
This may help :NFI: A reluctor sensor is like a generator. It is a coil if wire wrapped around an iron core and usually have a magnet at one end. When a steel tooth passes the iron core it effects the magnetic field and creates a voltage at the end of the wire. The signal out of the sensor is like A...

Re: need help have no spark
HHHmmm wonder if you are using a "home" signal (sequential) or batch fire of injectors?(must have the correct mode selected based on trigger type) are you seeing a cranking speed of around 200rpm's? other then checking the voltage at the coil and ECU while cranking and that you have select...
