I've got one in Canberra? Probably doesn't help you much though.

Re: Setting up for grip

Stiffer front springs (and shocks if they appear) as the first port of call it is. Brayden - which shocks for the rear? Can I grab them from something else, or do you just mean new, not 30 year old shocks? G man - I'm not saying lifting the inside rear is bad, but lifting both inside wheels certainl...

Re: Setting up for grip

Thread bump, now with a slightly higher base knowledge level. Haven't made it to any of the dirt events yet due to scheduling conflicts, but have done four tarmac events and it tripods like a boss. Setup was mostly stock MB; ie 30 year old shocks and springs. Currently running Formula Ford Avons on ...

Turbo on the left for scale is from a 1L Charade. Don't remember what the big one was from, but it was large. http://i297.photo...

Re: Joe/Tom's Mighty Boy

Right, so I may have skipped a couple of steps here but the G10A is in, running, and the MB competed in a motorkhana on Sunday. The engine swap is by no means done as there are a bunch of things that are still pretty half-assed at best, but it did make it through scrutineering and an entire day of c...

Re: Later model Swift G10A + gearbox into a MB

That's good, not going blind/crazy. Thank you. Next question I guess then is where should the distributor/igniter wiring go then? Currently I have the main lead plus two smaller wires coming from the igniter; lead to the centre of the distributor, one small wire going to a switched 12v+, and the oth...

Re: Later model Swift G10A + gearbox into a MB

Alight, almost completed, just getting my butt kicked by one last problem. The starter on a G10 should have three wires going to it, correct? Main power cable from the battery, a wire from the starter switch, and a third leading back to the igniter/distributor. That's what I had on the F5A in the or...

Re: Joe/Tom's Mighty Boy

Combination of new job, being sick, training for/running a marathon, and otherwise being generically soft had kept me away from the Mighty Boy for almost a month now, but I got a chance to have a solid go at it today. Still plenty left to do, but I'm making progress for sure. First time I've ever ta...

I was keen for the last one, but had other things on the day unfortunately. Have been to one of the Sydney meets and it seemed well organised.
