Looks incredible,
Interesting to know the mighty boy has only lost half (give or take) of its value for a good condition. Is there any more to that newspaper?

Re: Speedo Sensor?
Ideally i am after a hatch digital cluster look so if anyone has any photos id appreciate that, so i am thinking of a digital reading from a LCD or such. if not possible i looked into speco gauges and they seen to support both waveforms? If you could put photos of your setup that would be great to g...

Re: Speedo Sensor?
That info helps alot thank you, Ive looked into how that reed switch works and tested it (silly me thought i would get a straight answer from the multi-meter in km/h). i do not have the auto manual pages that you said i should look at, i am also unsure of what type of digital speedo would take the s...

Re: Worth swapping carby?
Runs well,
Ive just removed the auto gear off the carby and dropped it in. for anyone wanting to know if the auto carby will work on a manual the answer is yes. performance is defiantly recognizable.
Thanks

Re: Speedo Sensor?
Thanks for the input I have tried with the more common outputs (resistance and voltage) but the result is not linear with the increase in speed. Finding a digital hatch cluster would be really hard id reckon because of the rarity of them let alone the ones with digital. Do you know the input / outpu...

Speedo Sensor?
Hey all,
I am curious as to what this chip does that sits atop the automatic Hatch / mighty boy speedo's. And if it is a speed sensor is it possible to make a digital readout for it?
Thanks

Worth swapping carby?
Hey all, My Mighty-boy currently has an F8B with a F5A carby (only one i could source at the time) and i am wondering if its worth the hastle to remove an F8B carby from a hatch i recently acquired as it will need a fair bit of carb cleaner and un-seizing bolts to remove. Will i see any noticeable ...

Sound deadener
so I've finished doing both doors and they sound much more like a heavy car door instead of tin. I'm now wondering about the firewall, I have pingjing and some CCF should i strip the stock stuff off and line it all with new stuff or is there a better way to deaden the firewall?

Re: Sound deadening, Thoughts?
You are not joking when you say that adding sound deadening can easily add up to 20-30 kgs of weight.. the ping jing stuff just arrived and it weighs around 15Kgs

Re: Type of Radiator
The mini cooper radiator is probably your best bet, hell even i put one in when i was 16. you will need to do minimal modification (just some angle metal, measuring tape, few bolts and a drill) and your all set the F5a radiator is probably fine if you only want to do small drives with the F8B but it...
