Alto Works side skirts and rear bumper rarely come up for sale let alone someone willing to part with theirs. Is there any reason why you cant paint the boy and (hopefully) source those parts afterwards and have them painted separately?

No problem! Glad you got it sorted. 

Could be an earth issue. Trace back the earth for the guard and bumper indicator and see if its loose or not making proper contact to the chassis. Usually when an earth isn't connected properly it'll do weird things with other electrical bits on the same circuit.
