Re: Bad thoughts V twin or Subey flat four into a hatch

how would you sort out the flywheel / clutch issue? twin port inlet heads are available for the ea81 from italy http://www.flygas.info/subaru-ea81-testa.html Flywheel/clutch should be able to stay in the normal spot attached to the back of the crank. Torque tube shaft would have a spline on one end...

Re: Bad thoughts V twin or Subey flat four into a hatch

I've had exactly the same thoughts. I've 3 Subaru Sherpa's, the good immaculate all original low km one, the reasonably ok one, and the pretty rough old high km one. I always thought the old rough one would be a good test base for either a VZR1800 Suzuki Boulevard motor (or the smaller 1500) or an o...

Re: show us your kei...

I don't see a "must be Suzuki" clause, so allow me to be the first outsider. (Haven't got any photo's of my MightyBoy. Still at a mates getting finished off)

Here's one of my Subaru Sherpa's with it's mighty 2 cylinder. This thing uses even less fuel than our 250cc motorbikes.

Re: Decisions are killing me!

Do you need to have continuous registration in QLD to avoid having to go get a roadworthy? We can leave our rego expired for up to 12 months so I tend to alternate a few rego's every now and again.

Re: SSR reverse mesh 4x100

Plus if we had that kind of coin to spend on wheels we wouldn't be buzzing around in tin cans that will run all week for $15 worth of fuel.

Re: what seats can fit in a MB wit little mods?

We're going to try some Hyundai Excel seats. Reasonably comfortable, plentiful, cheap as chips and the 3 door ones flip forward to give good access to that huge space behind the seats.

Re: Free Alto rolling shell

Free? That's my favourite word. Better PM me a phone number and soon as I get the HJ tonner off the back of the truck I can come and grab it (I'm assuming it's in Canberra?)

Re: And so it begins

This is way out on a limb here but what about a Triumph triple EFI setup? Bikes usually run Individual throttle bodies so you could space them however you needed to with a custom plenum bolted on. Power commander ECU should give you plenty of scope for tuning and adapting the bike pickup sensors sho...

Re: Subaru 700

Not sure if this helps you but the genuine part no for the head gasket is 412305810. I've got 3 Sherpa's (all 2 seat 2 doors) and one of them came with the genuine Fuji Heavy Industries Workshop Manual and full Parts Manual. I've actually gotten a lot of stuff from the local Subaru dealer. Sometimes...

Re: Radio code/pin

If you haven't thrown the unit in the bin by now, try using the last 3 digits of the VIN number as the security code. A lot of Toyota dealers used to use that cause as far as I know it was them that activated the security code, not the factory. It also meant their technicians could unlock a radio in...
