Is the f5a dizzy is the same as the f8b. Have a spare f5a one at home that i would like to convert to elec ignition if it can be used on an f8b

Hey guys need to buy a new carbie for my f8b. Either a standard or a better 1. My 1 is cursed. Had it rebuilt & cleaned twice & still having problems with it. Im in melb vic

Best way i know to remove spot welds is basically grind your the end of your drill bit flat (say 8 mm)the grind it so it looks like a trident (best way to describe it). Change your fuel filter as well as cleaning out the carbie. Mine was clogged with a tonne of crap when mine did this. Also might pay to blow out the fuel lines incase theres anymore crap left in them.

Mine was doing the same thing! Ive worked out so far that i had sucked up some dirt into the carbie, so check that you havnt done the same thing. Just take off the top of the carbie and clean out the fuel bowl. Also i had adjusted my points, but as the screw was not the greatest, i couldn't get it a...
