Been a bit distracted for a while...

Hi Guys. :) Been a bit quiet on here of late - I've had an incredibly busy 6 months or so just gone, and late in August - about 5 weeks before we were due to go away on a 6 week vacation, the 'Boy 's motor shit itself for the third time. :x I always said if it ever went again, it would come out and ...

The Buzz Box gets the "Big Block"

So. I have a fair collection of bits and pieces: Have: * My car - complete and running but with a very sick F5a in it, about to come out - bog standard & manual. * A complete and sweetly running Suzuki 800 Auto donor. * Another F8b motor (from a manual) extracted about three years ago - complete...

Colour-wise I like the original dark blue (metallic I hope). Would look nice with those mags. :thumbup2:

Re: mechanical help

Could also be the carby icing up. I had issues with this - Be driving for well over an hour and the car would slowly get 'constipated' until it would just stop and die. Sit there for 5 minutes, and it'd start up again and run fine for another 10 minutes or so, and then same again. I live in Melbourn...

That's amazing that a Hyundai's wheels are imperial.
I would have bet money they would have been metric.

Re: how to remove brake lights

The black shroud does pop off - nerve-wracking because you think you're going to break it, but if you're careful, you shouldn't :fingersx: Read Here:

Re: A/C in Mightyboy - Ever been done ?

I think the considered opinion is that the F5a motor would not have enough to run the car safely and drive aircon as well, so the very prospect of adding aircon would imply an engine upgrade. Having said that, I do also believe there are a FEW cars in Australia that have had aircon fitted. No Dasboa...

Re: Does F5a engine have 'suzuki' cast into it?

IIRC
The block doesn't have 'suzuki' cast into it anywhere - it does have 'F5A'.
The only place you might find the work 'Suzuki' on a complete engine will be embossed into the rocker cover.

Cheers
