Re: 5 Speed F8B?

There are several options. None are a bolt-in fit. F5A/F6A import 5 speed. Same final drive ratio as an F8B, just a different spread between gears. Requires matching flywheel and starter, and custom driveshafts. Matiz F8C 5 speed. Starter motor placements creates difficulties, and the cable shifter ...

Re: Import or Aussie Delivery?

There are very few grey import MBs in Australia. All of the Aussie delivered models will have an ADR plate on the bulkhead, and most have a Suzuki/ATECO plate on the upper radiator support panel.

Re: F5A Power Upgrades???

I know some owners have gone to great efforts to eek power out of the F5A, including raising the compression, bigger carby, extractors etc, but I reckon you'd be hard pressed to get much more power than what a stock F8B puts out.

Re: F6A Coil Specs?

An english version of the F6A manual/wiring diagram has been the holy grail for many years. I can't help with the specs, but I can see if there's a factory coil attached to the loom on my spare F6A. The model number might offer a useful lead.

Theoretically yes, but the combustion chambers, ports and valves are difference sizes.

Re: F6a DOHC 12 Valve - Loom and ECU

You're likely to find an ECU pretty easily by hunting on Yahoo Auctions, although the wiring loom might be a bit more difficult to source. I don't like your chances of finding either floating around in Aus. If you've got a bit of coin I'd recommend grabbing an Adaptronic or Haltech ECU. Adaptronic h...

Re: Scott's f8c conversion

Using a Hatch works out well, because the bonnet is flatter and the side wings are higher. No clearance issues for the manifold!

Re: Seat belts for MB

If the spool mechanism is okay you can rebelt them. Rolls of belt material are pretty cheap on eBay.
