yeah true, so what i did there was i also wired the fuel pump to a push button switch so i can prime the carby if i leave the MB sitting for a while.

i tapped the wire from the oil pressure switch, so the way i wired in the relay was:
30- i ran power from the ignition
87- i wired to the fuel pump
86- i wired to the ground
85- i wired to the oil pressure switch

i just fitted one of the pumps from ebay, works a treat. i also went to the trouble of wiring in a relay so if the motor stops so does the fuel pump.

Yeah the one you sent worked fine until tuesday 18/11 the headlights started to play up flicking off and on, when i inspected it the black plastic piece on the back of the switch was all cracked and broken

Would you have an vacuum switch for the auto, its the switch which is attached to the engine stabilizer bracket.

Have you tried the guys at Australian brake sleeving, there at 46 Silva Ave here in Queanbeyan, im sure they could help you out.

In this image shows the black wire from the shift solenoid valve to be an earth.

as for the solenoid on the oil line, i wouldnt be too concerned with it my f8b auto doesnt have it.
