yeah true, so what i did there was i also wired the fuel pump to a push button switch so i can prime the carby if i leave the MB sitting for a while.

i tapped the wire from the oil pressure switch, so the way i wired in the relay was:
30- i ran power from the ignition
87- i wired to the fuel pump
86- i wired to the ground
85- i wired to the oil pressure switch

i just fitted one of the pumps from ebay, works a treat. i also went to the trouble of wiring in a relay so if the motor stops so does the fuel pump.

Yeah the one you sent worked fine until tuesday 18/11 the headlights started to play up flicking off and on, when i inspected it the black plastic piece on the back of the switch was all cracked and broken :(

In this image shows the black wire from the shift solenoid valve to be an earth.

as for the solenoid on the oil line, i wouldnt be too concerned with it my f8b auto doesnt have it.

Hi all

Im after a vacuum switch for the automatic MB. mine is missing and am
getting sick of it changing gears at 20k/h, really annoying!!!!!

I had a magna that did the same as you describe. I ended up having to overhaul the brake master cylinder.
