Will a F5A / F6A fit under the seats or will you have to put it on an angle? If so I would imagine that would cost quite a bit of money to have an inlet manifold made for starters. the F6a engine was put on an angle per JDM model. it can run angular. Engine mounts Wiring If its EFI you need a surge...

@nozmonkeys: roughly around 1,300 AUD's. yup, you're right, as long as they are modded, kei engines respond significantly to stage 1 upgrade - the basic intake-header-exhaust upgrade. in order for me to spare some time for the engine swap maybe i'll try swapping it with an F6a efi turbo. now the pro...

From what I have read on the forum over the last 2 - 2.5 years, you would be best to either stick with the f10a or go for a F6b. I get the impression that the F5a is harder to bring up to the specs you need & the F5b (?) twin cam is harder to find parts for. (granted the F6b is importer only). ...

F5a to F10a, recommended?

hi guys, another query on engine swapping with the super carry. recently i heard one of my friends acquired a f5a carby turbo. would you recommend this swapping to my f10a, spec-wise and fuel wise, considering both are carby? or rather should i swap it to a more fuel efficient f6a efi turbo? thanks ...

Thanks NozMonkey for the great inputs and the idea. =) let me ask a few questions again if you dont mind =) Hmm...for the clutch cable, did you use the original F10a cable? And for the oil dipstick, since it's deep i have to source out a long oil dipstick, right? As for the radiator, i guess there l...

Heres a rough estimate on what I've spent for those interested: Engine,ECU, loom - $800 (he brought it for $1100) Modified Intake manifold - $300 EFI Fuel Pump - $80 Radiator hose (Bendy hose) - $35 All NZD prices Price of a rotor engine over here is $3000. I've yet to get all my radiator piping wh...

taken from: hoedatwombat (the guy from youtube who converted his LJ50 to a k10 efi here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiyO-clVO3s): Hi, I have used the K10a from a front drive Wagon R and the gearbox from a Cappuchino. I had to fabricate mounts and run a pipe from the back to the front for the r...

@karu- thanks bro. glad to be of help. now there are actually three possibilities, thanks to some ingenuity of my filipino mechanics here. 1st one of, is to convert the whole system to efi. the only problem i am seeing here would be getting the ecu, which is fairly a bit expensive and a bit more tha...

@brayden - thanks bro. it would be a custom work for the intakes and the exhausts considering the angle the k10a would be in. i was just wondering though if there was a F10a efi engine...there is! im not so sure then with this if it's true or not. http://www.ecplaza.net/tradeleads/seller/6042553/suz...

@brayden - thanks bro for that. i'll do some further research on more components needed. i was just wondering, i checked out this site: http://extrudabody.com/TechInfo/what_you_need.html, and afaik, there is only 1 throttle body for the k10a, right? the site covers some basics required for an efi se...

@brayden - mate, let me get this straight (for the parts that i would be needing to upgrade): 1. convert fuel system to efi fuel line kit 2. efi coil (ps: brayden, this is different from the ignition coil of the sk410? should i get the exact efi coil used in the k10a?) 3. ignitor module 4. thermal e...

@gadj - bro, luckily my contact sells the entire engine complete with the loom, ecu, and with the transmission. per a mechanic, (im not sure on this though...) he said that it would bolt on to the super carry, though some adjustments such as crossmember, engine mounts, and yoke to the propeller shaf...

f10a to k10a engine swap...

hello guys, j-six here :) mates, currently i have a super carry with an f10 in it. it's an 89 model, similar to brandon's suzuki pimped every. i need to ask you a couple of questions prior to engine swap. considering that f10a is a carby and the k10a is a efi engine, and omg, i guess my '89 carry mo...
