Re: Possible Valve Stem Seal Leak?

Quickest way to diagnose the problem is a leakdown test. Or if you're confident it is a valve seal issue then check the plugs - one will likely be black and gummed up with oil. Crank case pressure will never be enough to force oil out of the turbo seals. You'd blow the sump and rocker cover gaskets ...

Re: Suzuki MightyBoy Technical FAQ

Factory steering column is not collapsible. A commercial vehicle shouldn't need one for a mod plate, but you could adapt one from a Swift if you have to.

Re: DOHC F6A literature.

The only English F6A DOHC manual I'm aware of is for the UK Cappuccino. It used to be available for members of SCORE, but I'm sure it's also on ebay.

It does. Several people have swapped the complete engine/drivetrain. The difficulty is getting the Matiz manifold under the bonnet, but that's not a huge issue.

Re: Is the mighty boy good for a first car/daily

Define cheap. ;) Running costs (oil, fuel, tyres) are cheap, on par with any other small car. Considering any MB you buy will be 30+ years old, things like bushes, suspension, hoses and gaskets will all be showing their age. Some parts are no longer in production, or difficult to find. Parts to modi...

Re: Apv 4x4

Difficult to say if that conversion would work easily. The Carry/Every was made in Japan, and the APV comes from India and is built on a different chassis.
Would be easier to buy a 4x4 Carry, or a RWD and convert it with parts from a Carry truck/trayback.

Can't say I've ever taken notice of that hose. It must be available genuine because I ordered a full set of hoses with my last rebuilt motor from SuziWorld and it was included.

Pretty sure they're the same for auto/manual, it's only the bottom hose that's different... I'll check and get back to you.

Re: Maximum size engine you can swap in.

Wow, that's an clever pick up. Nice work! I can't believe I missed that para before - even after my ute was engineered using the NA regs. Still, there are constraints around the firewall and track width that make it difficult to engineer a big motor swap - in either north/south or east/west config. ...

Re: New TMB window stickers

Charcoal is few shades darker than silver - doesn't stand out as boldly. I don't have a pic of one on a tinted window though.
Joe, you can come and collect, but I'm just as happy to post. I've already bought a bundle of pre-paid envelopes!
