Re: Super Carry Project.. Step 1: Lowering!

My bad! I thought TB was a Cordia model. The Suzuki shop in North Heidelberg told me they are rare and to buy a spare at $60 which I did. The coil on ebay is a normal 2 pin coil. So, if the third pin is to go to the carby will it still work if I bought on of the electronic modules with a 2 pin coil?

Re: Super Carry Project.. Step 1: Lowering!

Mine is a 4 cyl and the coil has a positive, a negative and another in the middle of both. That is why the coils are expensive and becoming harder to acquire.

Cool! Just what I require. I have a question though. My coil has 3 pins, does anyone know if it will make a difference using just the two?

Re: Super Carry Project.. Step 1: Lowering!

Sorry to hi-jack, but I have to ask you Jezzza, how did you go with the Cordia? You know that the turbo model was one of the most dangerous cars don't you? The huge power gives torque steer and pulls you dangerously to the left and fighting that drivers would pull hard to the right and lift their ri...

Re: drum brake help

I only have one complaint with my Carry and that is the rear brake adjustment. I have great brakes, but I know they can be better. I find it sheer stupidity that the drums have to be removed to adjust the brakes. Why could they not have put a slot in the rear of the hub so they can be adjusted with ...

Re: what is your most interesting experience

Mine is mechanical. Every couple of months I adjust the inlet and exhaust valve clearance, so, I have done it quite a few times now. Turn the engine to top dead centre on the compression stroke and do four valves and then turn 360 degrees and do the remaining four. You do this with the engine running...

park lights

I was cleaning my Carry park light yesterday and noticed that where the globe sits the headlight surround is black. I thought about sticking some tin foil in there and while searching found some silver paint and used that. Sure, they are just park lights but the difference in brightness is very noti...

Re: my cheap chinese import motor photos

Lucky you have an electric fuel pump because I doubt whether the fuel pump on the head will fit under the drivers seat. The inlet manifold is different, is it a side-draught carby Pete?

Re: What are points.

Because the Carry engines are on a slant I find it much easier to remove the dizzy to replace/adjust the points. I can sit down and do it perfectly and replace it faster than I can adjusting them in the van. As perfect as a feeler gauge will allow that is. For some strange reason dwell meters will n...

Re: F10A rebuild options

If you could read Billie you would have seen that I don't use MotorSilk any longer because it is old technology. The product I am using in my Carry is nanotechnology from minerals naturally occuring in the Ural mountains in Russia. It lowers the friction to 0.0003 and coats the engine at least 5 tim...
