For the sake of those who couldn't be bothered reading the 7 page novel of the entire process, I thought I would put together a quick summary of the parts/cost involved in converting my F8B to EFI and turbo.

Manifolds:
F6A Jimny manifolds & distributor - $190 (S/H) (but that was what I paid for a complete SOHC F6A including turbo)

Ignition:
Microtech ECU & hand controller - $1250 (New)
Bosch ignitor module - $150 (New) (inc. $30 for harness)
MSD Blaster coil - $120 (New)

Fuel system:
SARD fuel pressure regulator - $180 (New)
Fuel pressure gauge - $60 (New)
Bosch EFI pump - $190 (New)
Peirburg lift pump - $130 (New)
'Bundy' fuel lines - $50 (New)
EFI fuel hose - $50 (New)
EFI fuel filter - $10 (New)
Surge tank - $20 (S/H)
Earls hose fittings and kevlar fuel hoses - $500 (New)
Various hose clamps - $30 (New)

Turbo intake/exhaust:
RHB31 turbo - N/A (price included in manifold price above) (S/H)
Stainless braided turbo oil feed line and fittings - $100 (New)
Custom-made dump pipe - $210 (New)
Exhaust flex joint & fitting - $290 (New)
JustJap Intercooler - $100 (New)
Custom made intercooler piping & welding - $300 (New)
Turbosmart BOV - $70 (S/H)
Silicone hose joiners - $150 (New)
Hose clamps - $30 (New)

Accessories:
Radiator hoses - $20 (New)
Turbo water feed hoses - $25 (New)
New radiator / fan - $280 (New)
SuzukiSport Boost guage - $20 (S/H)
New wiring to battery + connectors - $100 (New)

Total parts cost: $4600

Tuning/compliance:
Tuning - $500 (road tune + dyno tune)
Engineer's certificate - $770

Thats about the short and tall of it. That rundown probably makes the job seem pretty easy, but I can tell you right now that it wasn't!
However, that being said it was worth the effort (and money)!

By the time I had paid for tow trucks, permits and other incidental costs (~$200), the complete EFI turbo conversion cost roughly $6000.

Well summarized. An important detail to note, in regards to the manifold and electronic dizzy, is that they were off a SOHC F6A Jimny JA11 engine. That means that they bolt essentially straight on. The DOHC ones wont fit. Same story with the F5A SOHC and DOHC EFI variants, SOHC works and the latter doesn't.

Correct?

Nice work with the summary! Gee I'm glad I got my setup ready to put on (always good to have someone else do all the work :P). Although mine was done without the:
- SARD fuel pressure regulator
- Bundy fuel lines (just run EFI hose all the way under the car
- Peirburg lift pump
- Surge tank
- Speedflow fittings for surge tank
- and my ECU is a bit older :)

BUT it still goes

That being said, I think my EFI conversion is an example of how to do it a bit more 'dodgey' but Brayden's is an example of how to do it properly :D

I forgot to add the cost of the ignitor module, and I decided to add the cost of the turbo bits as well, just to complete the picture.

GO the F8B!!! :D It would be a good comparison I reckon, I think the F8B would be a bit more torquey, which should make it interesting!

Given the same boost levels it would be interesting with the F6A being free revving and the F8B having more torque. We'll have to wait until I upgrade my clutch though, I think I fried it on the way to the tuner this morning.

Update:

I thought my original summary was pretty messy, so I have fixed it up and included new costs of engineering and some other bits I have added.

I know that even without labour costs this conversion has cost me a bucketload, but I learned during the process that there is only one way to do a job - properly.
