Shifting Problems

Hi all
I am having some gearbox troubles my mighty boy will sometimes shift from 2nd to 3rd easily but sometimes you have to wiggle it  around before it goes into gear. i think it might be the gear selector mechanism for 3rd and 4th gear that is worn out inside the gearbox or a syncro

If it is a synchro problem it will crunch on downshifts. What you're describing sounds like a selector fork issue. Could also be a worn rear engine mount.

So if it is a selector fork i do have a f5A box spare could i replace the internal shifter fork with that one? but first before tearing it apart i could try replacing the linkage from the stick to the box.
