Hey all,

My Mighty-boy currently has an F8B with a F5A carby (only one i could source at the time) and i am wondering if its worth the hastle to remove an F8B carby from a hatch i recently acquired as it will need a fair bit of carb cleaner and un-seizing  bolts to remove. Will i see any noticeable performance or economy  increase if i do so?

Assuming the carby is fully functional (including secondary) you should notice a kick in performance, and a slight increase in fuel consumption.

alright il get round to it when I find the time. the carbie on the hatch has all the auto gear on it, is it just as easy to remove the auto gear and put it on or are there internal differences?

There are other differences. I'm not sure an auto carby will work perfectly on a manual setup, but you could try it and see.

Runs well,
Ive just removed the auto gear off the carby and dropped it in. for anyone wanting to know if the auto carby will work on a manual the answer is yes. performance is defiantly recognizable.

Thanks
