Tacho for the MB

hey all,
im cruising the forums and i cant seem to find an updated answer on where to get a good tach for the boy. i have looked all over eBay and such and cant seem to find one.

Ps. dont have a lot of money to burn on it so looking for a budget but decent looking one.

They're a niche part now, and I haven't seen any cheap ones in a while.
Speco still make the 520-03 which is specific for 3 cylinder, and you might be lucky enough to find a VDO, Splitfire or Sunpro tach second hand.

Many years ago I remember talk about modifying a 6 cylinder tach to work, but I've never seen it done.

I've just fitted an "SW" brand 100mm Tacho to my Mighty Boy.  It has a dial on the rear that adjusts from 1 cylinder engine up to 8.
Set it on 3 - works a treat.
SW were a popular brand in the 80's and shouldn't be that hard to track down.

3cyl speco tachos pop up on ebay from time to time
I've also seen a adjustable monster tacho on there to 1-8cyl in the $100-150 range

I have just bought a fairly cheap 2 inch tacho with 2-8cyl capacity off ebay, I will see how I go with it.
