Hi everyone.
Just wondering which insurance company is the best, so far everyone I have gotten a quote from, the highest agreed value they'll give me is like $2000 dollars. I've spent way more than this on my mb so I'd really like a good deal. So if anyone has a really good company they use I'd love if you could pass it on :)
I'm in Queensland if its any help.

I think the only way you'll get a better agreed value is through Shannons, however it comes with ridiculous annual costs, or strict conditions on when you can drive it.

For example, the best agreed value Shannons would offer me was $8000, and that was only after an inspection from one of their assessors. The annual cost for full comprehensive was something like $1100, or $470 with a maximum of two days driving per month.

You need to talk to a specialist insurer like Shannons. I insure with Shannons, got 4.5k on my boy and I think it costs me $600 a year ish for limited use coverage. Having said that, my boy hasn't been driven in well over a year, and hopefully soon I'll have the last few things done for roadworthy, then I'm changing the rego over to club permit with a 45 day log book(which will give me cheaper insurance as well).

None of the normal main stream insurers will give you any reasonable value for your mighty boy. IE, Racv, AAMI, NRMA, Alliance, CGU, or any of the banks/supermarket car insurers!

Cheers
