Hi, anyone know is there are any other bigger cc engines that bolt straight up (or some that only need slight mods/work to fit) into a 1985 carry?

Seen a g15a motor from a website from another country that looked identical apart from the dizzy location

Any help would be great

Thanks

The short answer is that the F10A is the largest F series motor made by Suzuki, so there isn't a bolt-in option available. Both K and G series engines have been used by other owners, however they do require a substantial amount of work:

Most of the work is involved with modifying the motor to sit at the correct angle to fit under the seats and not starve for oil. Then you need to adapt the gearbox to fit the motor.

The most straightforward swap would be to get a wrecked Carry (1997-2001) and harvest the G13BB running gear and mounts from the body. A late model APV would also work, although the G16K motor is taller, which might cause some clearance issues.

Thanks mate, I think the best option for me (one reason being I know rotaries) is either a 12A rotary with an auto gearbox (got no clue how I would hook up the cables to the original mazda gearstick)

Or a suzuki 1.5 motor which ever is NOT the tallest out of them all?...

Thanks for your help mate, your a champion...

What ever I do I'll be posting for others to see.
