Hi
I just picked up a 2k Carry 1.3 manual...
I was wondering parts etc wise what is compatible? Eg Swift Baleno jimny etc
EG is The G13bb engine the same as other Suzuki's? Gearboxes/diffs and so on?
What about interior etc?
Cheers all
PS Am an old skooler as you see by the handle, so dont know much about these little beasties...

G'day

There is a heap of things you can do to upgrade the van...
Bigger alternator out of a Baleno fits straight in.
Baleno 1600 motor nearly fits straight in.

K-Mac sell a rear bar for the 2004 Carry Van at $265. They also sell an uprated front bar.
Suzisport sell a unit to fit inside the existing Diff Carrier to give a LSD operation at $ 595.00.
Jimny front diff centre fits in and is available in 2 lower ratios, 4.1:1 and 3.9:1 instead of 4.3:1.
Electric Power Steering, body kits, and the list goes on...

Well grabbed a 01 Ignis dash and it popped straight in and all works (no mods etc). Very pleased!

Haha yeah it wasnt too painful at all :)

Also, does anyone know the tailshaft length for a '99- 1.3 5spd van? Or the 'yoke' part?

Cheers

Google for Changan Star 6350.
It is the most popular Chinese knock off of the Carry Van. 95% of parts are a direct fit.
eg

Aliexpress is a bit like ebay.
You buy from a small vendor and Aliexpress handles the finances and guarrantees the transaction.
I have been using it for years without any problem.

Yep just like that. Note, these are not a direct swap, you need to chop some metal out of the radiator panel to make em fit...

G'day

Watch this space.
I just bought a YG Holden Cruze (Ignis AWD) at the auctions for $50 plus fees ($115).
It is a stat write-off but only has minor damage around one of the headlights.
The rear diff looks the same as the Carry but has a lower ratio of 4.11:1
Alloy wheels and flash sound system are bonuses.
I am looking for a good LSD. Not all LSDs are the same.
I read this...
http://teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=15 ... 0&p=425606
and have contacted Balazs
We are just working out if the Carry Diff is the same as anything he makes.
