One of the most useful additions for me was a full roof rack...

I bought an alloy rack off a Nissan Patrol. It was 1240mm wide by 2040mm long. I made brackets that bolted to the inside edge of the frame. These brackets are 1200mm apart, which is the same width as the Carry gutters.

Here is a detail photo of the brackets made from scrap aluminum angle and stainless steel.

Kicking this thread along.

I built a little carport out of old trampoline frames. 3 rectangular frames and one round frame. It is 6'high by 7'wide by 13'long. It is very strong and light so I tied it down with a couple of steel fence posts.

I have made a few of these for different vehicles. They are cheap and work well.
