Again sorry if I'm reviving a dead topic but do the generic ebay dash LEDs fit into the mb cluster or is there something very specific needed ? My lights are super pale and hardly working. Good time to upgrade to a nice bright LEDS display I thinks.

Thanks in advance.

T5 and T10 globes from memory. You just need to make sure the head of the LED is multi-directional and small enough to fit through the hole. (Some LEDs have a festoon that is larger than the base, so they don't fit through the hole in the cluster.)

The other thing you can do to brighten the cluster is to paint the inside of the housing gloss white to aid reflection.

Cheers.

Do you know how many of each is needed ? And would lining the back with a mirror style vinyl give you more reflection than the gloss white ?

Not sure if you'll be able to tell from the eBay ad if they'll fit or not but just checking in case someone can.

Thanks.

I've just bought some T10 LEDs off ebay - I'll check and let you know if they fit.

Thanks in advance. On a side note that I don't want to start a new thread for, is about 3/8ths of a tank good for a highway drive with a standard f8b ?

I have no reference for fuel economy sorry. I haven't driven a standard F8B regularly in 10+ years.

Hey Brayden. Just a bit of a topic revival if you've had time to try fit up the dash LEDs

Sorry, slipped my mind over the break. I'm working on a dash this weekend, so I'll report back after that.
