Could someone please tell me what sort of adjustment is in the back rests of the 86 mighty boy. Mine will only lock into the 2nd lay back position with NO clicking between. Is this mecanism complicated as I haven't taken it apart yet. Any secrets or clues or parts available. Thanks tonton

The mechanism isn't complicated, but it is cheap and prone to breaking. To be honest the stock seats have been the first thing to get yanked out of every MB I've bought.

and what seats do you replace them with brayden.

Cos i am having a bitch of a time finding seats that fit, I have also cut all of the old seat mounting brackets out of the car and plan to fabricate my own.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have Sparco seats at the moment, but have previously used SAAS, Suzuki Swift, Mazda 323, Daewoo Matiz, Honda CRX - more or less any small car.
Installation has never involved anything more than making adaptors to line up the MB rails with the seat base.
