How's this for a plan, Meet up at Burvale Hotel carpark on Burwood Hwy 6.30 AM leave 6.45AM for staging point at Fawkner Park on Toorak Rd West, entrance opposite Walsh St group up and head in for 8.00 AM. Not familiar with Fawkner Park but it looks OK on the map. Unless anyone has a better idea. 8)

Do you really mean 6:30 ?
Or was it meant to be 7:30 ?
Shouldn't take long to get there.

If you guys come down Toorak Rd from Burwood, I would suggest turning right into St Georges Rd, group up there (I can meet you there - plenty of parking on Sunday morning) and driving down to Como Park (at the end of St Georges Rd).

I'd like to stress that Classic Japan is NOT about having every car 100% perfect (if it was, even I wouldn't be allowed in!), it is by no means a concourse event. It's about like-minded enthusiasts having a good time displaying their cars, be it with a little rust, dents & all. I realise a few people hesitate to bring their car-you-don't-see-everyday to shows as they may not think it's up to 'standards'. Provided the vehicle is safe/legal for use on public roads, by all means come along, we'd love to see your car!

I'm proud of some of the dents in my car, particularly one on the rear passenger door. First 'proper' motor-sport event, first crash! :D

I know this may not seem like the most important item for the event, but having learned from CJ2012 We WILL have porta-loo's (toilets) available for patrons at Classic Japan 2013!

*insert feeling relieved pun here*

I was thinking closer to Toorak Rd (the road is wider). If we were going to be there at 7.30, we could group with anyone else not coming through Burwood and leave at 8.00

Down to 9 more sleeps before the big day! I'll be honest, I'm nervous.

If you can't wait for the day itself to score yourself a Classic Japan t-shirt or lanyard, or are unable to make it on the day but would still like one, we can help you with that! T-shirts & lanyards are For Sale via Ebay, with all funds raised being donated to The Fred Hollows Foundation (http://www.hollows.org.au/) . You can find them here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321251509468

Shirts look awesome. Out of curiosity, who did you get to make them?

Ok... Just re-read through the posts and there was a lot of suggestions, but what seems to have stuck is:

There will be a meeting point at the Burwood Maccas...

Those this suits, can assemble here but will leave just after 7:30am to meet others at St. Georges Rd Approx 7:50am

Those assembled will then leave at 8:00am to arrive at the park just after 8:00am. and go in as a group. :thumbup2:

(Don't forget there is a $5 entrance fee).

Personally, I'll be attending both meet points.

Also, don't forget foldable chairs......... Let's see if we can get a spot on the boundaries of the park .

To avoid leaving anyone behind at a meeting point, could everyone who is coming confirm their attendance and the meeting point they will join?

So far people who have expressed interest are.
