i was just wondering what it could be but lately my car has been almost impossible to start. it feels like its aint sparking fast enough or something im not sure but its also backfiring black smoke out of that back. ALL the time now. once i get it running its ok still blow a burst of dark smoke ever now and then. HELP!!! i love it but its frustrating me..

Carby rebuild time by the sounds of it mate! If your compression was low it would be blowing blue smoke all the time.
Also check your points, plugs, leads and timing.

I would check the needle and seat in the carby and the float hight as it sounds like it is flooding- black smoke is excess unburnt fuel
