Has anyone seen one in Oz, particularly Adelaide?

I nearly bought one in the UK, always wanted one since. Never seen one here, does anyone know if there are any around?

This isn't a WTB, just wondering if anyones ever seen one?

Would be a jap import I assume.

Thanks,

Steve

Jap import mate, closest they got to Australia was NZ. Although I think there are two or three that snuck into Aus.

Cool, thanks Brayden.

The one I drove in the UK was a little barrel of laughs. :)

If I get serious I'll try importing from NZ I guess.

You could always settle for a domestic Alto, but I know it just wouldn't be the same if you really want a WhizzKid. ;)

Did the local Alto look like this, and front engined?

Not as cool! :D

Yeah front engined, but that pic you posted is of a Hatch:

Good news is that you can pick those up for a couple of hundred bucks. Bit cheaper than importing!

The Alto looks like this:

Another option would be a Honda Z - they were rear engined 360cc and sold locally.

Ah cool, they look more generic Japanese Charade/Civic/Barina. Fun to drive? Cappo's impressed me to drive too but I never bought.

My hatch pic was huge! Will shrink now.

That Honda Z looks awesome though, I love the little cars :) Never seen one in the metal but would be tempted if the opportunity came up for a good one. Still keeping an eye out for an MB.

Thanks for the education!

The Honda Z is TINY! I parked my MB next to one at the local servo and it made my ute look big! I spoke to the owner and sat inside it - it felt like a snug coffin.

The Alto/Hatch models are great little cars, and the 800 model can hold its own in traffic.

The thing that would worry me about importing a Whizzkid would be sourcing parts when something inevitably breaks!
