Have a chat to Altoboy (Greg), he has had his F5A alto up and down the bruce highway (brissy to sunny coast) dozens of times...
I can't remember how he put it now but he said he had a tendancy to stay in the right lane most of the time. :D

Must be something wrong with your motor. F8B should push 140 on the flat and 165 downhill before it runs out of gearing.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.

yeah I can attest to that - 140ish on the flat and then about 1cm off the scale once the road started sloping downhill.

i found this hatch in an old hot rod mag and then on the net. the magazine read fastest suzuki hatch and that he drove it to the salt lakes. ran almost 210kmh. i wounder what it had in it.

yer names David i have a standard 58b 1987 alto at the time of the run it had a shot cv shaft but GPS with me we were down hill pushing to get 135 with 12"175 now how on earth can it mack it to 140 stock give me a turbo may-be but then how on earth may be the road to Cloncurry from mt Isa is not the best road to do it in or 3 ppl in the car with me but i have only made it to 134km/h so yer

I've had my boy off the dial with the F8b that wasn't in the best of health - i think it was around 125-130 kph. With the old F5a, i couldn't get past 105, it just won't do it, but it was also rather tired!

It's scary enough doing 180 in a big heavy car like my EB GT Mockup, i'd hate to be doing anywhere above 130 in a Mighty Boy / Alto! :-o
