G'day all,
Has anyone done a sucessful electric window conversion on a MB yet?
Ive done a search but didnt find anything.
Hope to hear something positive soon!

I've only ever heard of one MB fitted with power windows, and it was being sold on ebay so I didn't get any details. From the look of the pics it was done by fitting a motor in a box attached to the outside of the door trim, connected to the standard winder mechanism. Looked like arse.

I've contemplated it a few times, but decided that the doors were too narrow, and it only takes 2.5 winds to go right up or right down, so there wasn't much point!

I think Paride has fitted fast glass into the HOLK.
I believe he had a problem with connecting up to the existing mechanism - sheared an adaptor or some such, so now only has the DS window working - the PS window stays up! :-o

the power window setup in my Alto Works RSR is probably the closest you would get to it.

It basically has a normal regulator mechanism, with a very small motor attached to it.
