Just get someone to put there foot on the brake, if the hubs are still on, put the wheels back on and put on ground to give extra support in getting it off.

Boots should be easy to replace

http://www.suzistore.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=822

only about $17 bucks a side.

If the shafts are not noisy ( click or louder clack clack as you corner) just clean the joint thoroughly & replace the boot & grease. A CV boot kit comes with a boot, clips & grease. If you are just servicing a joint with a good boot replace the old grease with new graphite grease.
A noisy joint will need replacing. Reconditioned shafts cost me $140.00 each but there is likely to be something cheaper.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
