The "Tik Tik Tik" is it trying to re-prime itself when you start the car. - Obviously between drives, the fuel is draining back into the tank.

it should not prime itself for an hour or as long as the drive is. maybe a couple of seconds or so untill it is primed and then when you start the engine the electronic fule pump can pump fule to the engine becouse the pump has been primed. but my question was it has never done it before so what is making it do it now. if the tik tik was just it priming why dosent it stop arfter it has been primed and why hasnt it tiked every other time it has been primed before :?:

If the pump has been replaced with a facet pump it will tick. My van does.

If it still has the standard pump then it is probably on its last legs.

Err, no, but only because the engine drowns out the noise. Does the ticking speed up with engine revs?

nar the tik does not build with the revs. just a constant tik.
