After fitting twin delorto carbies on my cousins 2.0L MK2 Ford Escort and getting a significant power increase, just wondering what options do we have/ what path can we go down with our Carry vans?? Carbies off suzuki motorbikes come to mind?? as Carby bikes like GSX1200s have 4carbies on them standard?? Being a metal fabricator, making up a custom inlet manifold to suit isnt a problem, im just not sure about the mechanical engineering behind it??

A set of twin sidedraft SU carbies would be the go.

i have a set of gsx1000 carbies doing nuffin if interested $200 for them or i was going to try a single su carby off a mini that shud give it more kick and i was going to try porting and polishing the manifold

Keep us informed with fitting an SU. After finding one with the same stud pattern for the inlet manifold I discovered that the top of the SU (Plunger) sits so high as you have to drill a hole in the centre console and that would allow gasses into the van.

i was think to use a 1 3/4inch su with a slightly mondified manifold, i ve got a carby sitting here just need time to do it or i might just fit the carby and drill a hole in the centre console to suit and the make a cover up
