Remove, take to a trimmers, and ask them to trim and fit a different elastic to keep it down to a 10mm opening.

Well got the bracket off the matiz for the shift boot, it does have a cable tie lol. Put my shift boot on and it was to tight to do screws up, but it holds :)

Alrite i gotta learn how to post pics right into the forum, instead of my gallery.

The spring in the pic isent really seated right. But its all togeather. I forgot how it all went back togeather, so it may fall apart while im driving haha. nah i'll pull the others mb ones off my car apart and make sure i did it right. Well anyway heres what they look like. They seem the same height as mb ones with the mb strut top, matiz is shorter. I'll compare when i get the ones off my car.

I should probaly get new strut tops while im doing the change, but there expensive and mine arent cracked.

Hope this helps.

How is it 'not seated right'?
In the other thread you said you used the matiz top spring seat.

Looking forward to hearing how they fit up. I've still got 5 weeks of my course left before I get spare time to play.

Yeah, the springs are abit wider than the mighty boy, so the top part that the spring sits into is to small with the mb, so the matiz one was used. Umm the springs arent in the groove that the bottom and top, not sure if it matters. Should be a fun test drive, i'll member to wear brown pants :)

Aahh, so just your assembly of the strut.
Try seat the springs properly if you can, it will be better to do that.

Because the bottom is wider, the springs dont look like they would sit right, the diameter of the springs is different, plus the matiz ones are the same length, a few mm diff.

Got the brake lines off the matiz, should work perfectly, they bolt into the caliper right. Btw matiz calipers dont fit on mighty boy hubs, the metal is to thick.

Wont be doing the conversion til either sat night or sunday morning, need car and dont wont to be stuck walking haha.

Okey got a problem.

When i fitted the struts, the hub and strut have a gap. I'v got a pic it will explain.

Can i fit a washer there, or will i need to use matiz hubs? are the splines the same for the driveshafts?

http://www.tamon.org/gallery/v/members/ ... 1.JPG.html

This sucks.

At least the brake lines work :)
