reverse light

hay guys im having truble with the carry's reverse light it wont come on when in reverse. it will only come on if you hold the gear stick down real hard so is this just a worn out part i can just replace....

Clean around the switch on the gearbox /remove it clean lubricate the switch and put it back in,check you connector(cable) mine does the same now and then...ken

Also when you remove the switch from the box check for obvious signs of wear.

hi guys i had a look for what you guys said i could not find any swich just the 2 cables that change gears. ive put pics up of where i was checking,looking for this swich in my gallery so you's can have a look and tell me if im checking in the right spot thanks

What name do i look up in the gallery...ken.

I just looked up the book and it says"remove left seat, locate wiring connector-un plug and unscrew the switch from the top of the gear box and remove with its O-RING,test and re fit connecting the cable connector from the wiring loom...ken
