Hey peeps

My carry tray top is coming along nicely, as is the alloy tray I've assembled for it. However, I'm left with quite a few spare bits from the various trays I've pulled down and taken bits from to make one half decent tray for the carry and I'd like to make a matching trailer for it with the leftovers :)

However a tray doesn't make a trailer, it needs a chassis and an axle, springs etc. I am hoping to use a rear axle and springs out of an f8b hatch I have lying around, which brings me to my question : does anyone know what the axle and springs are rated to? I'm thinking they may not be rated highly enough for me to use them, as I'd like an ATM of 750kgs and most hatches are only rated with a GVM of around 950kgs for both axles.

If anyone has any info on the rear axle/springs/weight distribution specs for a hatch I'd really like to know about it.

...Alternatively if someone happens to have a carry axle/springs lying round that'd be equally awesome, especially if they were in SA :)

Cheers
Lyndon
