Hey guys, iv'e had a search around the forum, and i know that for a basically standard f8b, a 1 3/4" exhaust is the size to go. Prob is im going to make a custom ss exhaust and the only sizes at work i can get for free are 1 1/2" or 2". I can get bare bends which either size as well so no crushed bends!! Any tips on which i should go for? Also is it worth having a crack at making my own muffler or just buy 1? Cheers Mick

Wouldn't twin 1 1/2" be too big? Same with 2"?

go 2 inch, and buy a muffler dont bother making one. im helping out a mate at a local exhaust place and i made some mufflers the other day, far to much effort for no gain really. heavier and more expensive then just buying one

Standard F8B I would go for 1.5" - 2" would make it sound like a wet fart.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.

My mate, just for laughs put twin 2" s/s straight through. It was so loud! I've got a short vid but when I tried to attach it said the format was not accepted?

mine is f8b with a 1.5 inch front pipe into a 2 inch exspansions chanber backed down to 1.5 into a noisy round muffler with 2" outlet then over the rear axle into a 2 inch resonator with 2 inch outlet and it actually sounds pretty good no wet fart sound, has the popcorn effect going down hill though.
