Hi guys im new here and new to suzukis,
i got my little 84 hatch 800cc a few weeks ago,
i got it cheap nowing there was issues with the head,
it cut out every 10ks abd that was the main issue that was easily solved by replacing the fuel filter. the person before me had used it like that for months....

It always ran with mayb 30% compression on one cylinder but that was fine, just slow.
im prety sure the head cracked or gasket let go today thoe.

so what would you guys recomend i do now?
recon the engine i have
find 2nd hand engine (im in perth)
or upgrade time? whats the options?
im not intrested in big power or anything, but if it is more powerfull thats fine, (550 turbo etc)
i was more thinking a new modle engine with electronic ignition or efi ect,
is there one? dose it drop in?
or any beter advice,
im just after a reliable little car to go to work and back and go for little journeys on time off.
ill try find the intro place and get a pic up of my car and introduse it properly

good link that thanks.

ok i checked compression today, cylinder 1 = 0 haha, both 2 aqnd 3 were at 600kpa, i think there suposed to be 1200-1400 is that right?

so it needs some serious attention,
i only just thought just now that i didnt put oil down the cylinders 2 and 3 to see if it was worn piston rings or not thoe, so ill do that tomorow,

but just now i am leaning towards just a full rebuild. ive asked suzistores what they recomend, or if they have any engines so ill see what they say.

ok so i did a wet comptession test with same results so im guessing botom end is ok just head.
removed the head and the exhaust valve on cylinder 1 was burnt out,
head is away getting a full rebuild and an extra deep skim to raise compression a bit more while im at it,
would be rude not to eh.
