So I picked up a $500 SF Swift with the 1L engine a couple of weeks ago to act as a 2nd car/runabout to get me to the train station daily as I dont want to leave the MB there.

Had a coolant leak from the intake manifold that turned out to be the spout had corroded away more than 50%. Tried to find the gear to tap in a fitting, but had no luck.

After a false start at a mechanics shop, I went to 'Head Exchange' just near work.
They turned up two replacement fittings and ally welded them in place, and cleaned up the intake manifold.
When picking up the manifold, I got a walk through the shop....

They have spare F5A, G10, think even F8B heads on the shelf, and a great and open approach to odd requests too!

Just sharing the good experience... :D

Always good to hear of people's positive experiences with places.

Just for the record, do you have a phone number for them?

So the adventure continues...

In chatting with the boss I did suggest he should look at selling completed products online/ebay as well, to improve his reach nationally and more.
