Even the window rubber was fine Brayden, in comparison that Swift that I wrecked - you could break it into bits with your fingers... All that said - 'great condition' is maybe a slight over-statement.

Spotted some wheels with tyres in 'great condition' for $40 on the old gumtree today. That'll be one more tick for the old PIT test!

Well guys - the time has come for just that - The RWC. If you've read the thread then you will probably understand why this is a big deal. This car was off the road, barely running and ran like shit when it did. A paddock-bashed-paddock-basher that I've spent about 12 months of free time over the last two years (the other 12 I've been in Scotland so they don't count) bringing this bad boy back to life. Jobs over the last little while have been:

Carbie re-build,
Vacuum hoses and secondary throttle diaphragm replaced
Sway Bar Bushes,
Wiring the lights + odds + ends,
Radiator flush,
Fixing the holes that appeared once I'd done the radiator flush!
New filters, engine + gear oil + coolant,
New set of wheels + 3 spanking tyres,
Electric fuel pump,
Dash fitted,
Seats + interior fitted,
Alarm + central locking unit fitted under dash,
Speakers + stereo fitted,
Cleaned out and freed up D/S/R dragging brake,
Stuck a scouring pad in my oil catch-can to help catch moist oil vapour (protecting my investment in that carbie)
Fitted windscreen washers,

Am now generally stoked and excited with life... Wo0t!

Here's some of yesterdays photos for you
Ever feel like you're being watched?

Coming together now :D

Hopefully I can show you all the only picture that matters tomorrow, the picture of the Road-Worthiness Certificate being held by a rather Chester cat-like version of myself!

Watch this space gentlemen...

Again a big thank you to all contributors of information on this forum, your help has been invaluable to getting the boy to this stage.

It's been a big push over this last 10 days to get it ready but it seems that the hard work and time has paid off. Now I got me Boy to drive!
